The “Gov” passed a new bill 🇺🇸 this week to protect Commercial Real Estate property owners from squatters. This bill comes a year after the “Gov” passed a residential real estate property for the same - protection from squatters. The City of Gulf Breeze has posted a $500 REWARD! SENATE BILL’s 332 / 621~ PROPERTY RIGHTS 🏡 🏬

EFFECTIVE 🗓️: 1 JULY 2025

This week GOVERNOR DeSANTIS approved SB 322 on June 2, 2025. 🏬

“The bill creates a nonjudicial procedure for a property owner to request that the county sheriff remove an unauthorized person from commercial real property. This procedure is similar to procedures in existing law for the removal of an unauthorized person from a residential property. It provides that an owner of commercial property may request that the sheriff immediately remove an unauthorized person from the owner’s property. An unauthorized person is someone not authorized to occupy the property who is not a current or former tenant.”

Last year GOVERNOR DeSANTIS approved SB 621 Effective July 1, 2024.🏡 

“Property Rights; Authorizes property owners or authorized agents to request assistance from sheriff for immediately removing unauthorized occupants from residential dwelling under certain conditions; requires specified complaint; provides requirements for sheriff; authorizes arrest of unauthorized occupant; provides that sheriff is not liable to any party for loss, destruction, or damage; provides that property owner or agent is not liable to any party for loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal property unless it was wrongfully removed; prohibits unlawfully detaining, or occupying or trespassing upon, residential dwelling intentionally & causing at least specified amount of damage; provides criminal penalties for any person who knowingly & willfully presents false document purporting to be valid lease agreement, deed, or other instrument conveying real property rights; prohibits listing or advertising for sale, or renting or leasing, residential real property.”

The City of Gulf Breeze posted a missing WETLANDS BOARDWALK and TRAILS sign and is offering up a $500 reward; no questions asked!?

“Did it grow legs? Did it go on its own adventure? Did it finally decide to find itself in the wilderness it so proudly advertised? We may never know... unless you can help!
We’re genuinely touched that someone out there loves this sign enough to “adopt” it—but we'd love it back even more. The trail feels empty, and the frogs are confused.”

ESCAMBIA COUNTY NEWS - YOUR VOTE IS NEEDED!

The ESCAMBIA COUNTY MULTI YEAR IMPLEMENTATION PLAN , also known as MYIP,  outlines how the county will use funds from the RESTORE ACT for various projects.

The RESTORE ACT, passed after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, dedicates a portion of penalties to the Gulf Coast Restoration Trust Fund.

The MYIP plan has been amended multiple times detailing how the county will prioritize projects that align with the RESTORE Act's goals and regulations.

The public comment period for MYIP Amendment 4 is currently open, and Escambia County is seeking public feedback by Friday June 27th, 2025:
