Pensacola's economy is on an upward trajectory. Our tourism industry is booming. The city is expanding its "blue economy" focus utilizing ocean resources for economic growth and job creation, with the Port of Pensacola playing a key role.

Escambia County just approved plans for two new subdivisions: Isabella subdivision in Perdido Key which will feature 40 single-family homes and Seminole Bend (Phase I) in Beulah which will add 45 single-family homes to the existing community.

And, I-110 resurfacing has begun - heads up to - delays and lane changes ongoing until 2026.

Just Another Day in Paradise a.k.a FLORIDA: A man was arrested for stealing Smokey Bear signs from state forests across northern Florida and selling them online.

I-110 RESURFACING HAS BEGUN ⚠️

HEADS UP! FDOT began the $7.2 million resurfacing project on I-110 in Pensacola yesterday.

They are resurfacing I-110 from I-10 to U.S. 98, plus the ramps between the I-110/I-10 interchange and Cervantes Street (U.S. 90, Exit 2). And it also includes improvements to guardrails, lighting, stormwater management, and signage. 

Drivers can expect lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday evenings, and temporary I-110 ramp detours for milling and paving. The project completion date is projected to be early 2026!

ESCAMBIA RIVER ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE💡

The Escambia River Electric Cooperative office in Walnut Hill has reopened after being closed for nearly a year due to mold. However, postal services remain closed while awaiting a new U.S. Postal Service contract.
