Good morning, Pensacola
Happy almost weekend! It's currently Friday, August 8th, 2025, and there's plenty happening in P’COLA this weekend!
Local chatter: In Escambia County, Florida, students at 44 schools are in for a treat this school year! Thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), every student will enjoy free breakfast and lunch. The Food is Great! …but the best part? Parents at these schools can skip the paperwork for the Free and Reduced Meal program.
National chatter: In the heart of China, a silent invader, has emerged -the Chikungunya Virus - causing fever and severe joint pain.
Just Another Day in Paradise a.k.a FLORIDA: Hey there! Just a quick weather update for you. We've got two storms on the move: one is a tropical depression hanging out east of Bermuda, and the other is making its way across the Bahamas today. This second one might turn into a tropical storm and could bring some rain to the Panhandle.
