An unofficial & clearly made-up holiday, January 21 is Squirrel Appreciation Day, a day to acknowledge the role that squirrels play in nature and the environment.

Pensacola Heroes Lacrosse 🥍 2025

Calling all lacrosse players from Kindergarten through High School. Pensacola Lacrosse practice starts today (Snow day?), Jan 21st., at Wilde Lake Church on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm. All that is needed is a positive attitude and a desire to have a good time. Registration is required.

Foiling Event Pensacola ⛵️

The World Sailing Special Event event sponsored by Pensacola Sail. Kinda like a Foiling Festival, it’s all about the amazingly fast foiling boats and boards, their sailors, designers and manufacturers. Foiling Week Pensacola 2025 details below:

When: February 24–March 2, 2025
Where: Pensacola, Florida
What: A World Sailing Special Event that includes races, workshops, social events, and more
Who: Open to all skill levels, including professionals, enthusiasts, and beginners
What's on offer: Trials of new foiling gear, live demonstrations, sustainability talks, and more
What to see: The Race Village at Maritime Park, which will feature food, drink, music, and live commentary
What to do: Try out boards and boats, participate in discussions, and meet the event's sailing stars

ADOPTABLE DOG OF THE WEEK: Say Hello to TANK! 🐶

This week we are introducing you to TANK, a handsome big ol' lug at 85 lbs. who’s sweet & gentle and 5 yrs young. He's a happy guy that's eager to please, loves car rides, attention, and playing in water. Since Tank is a large dog, they recommend a home with a fenced yard and/or plans for daily exercise and socialization. Tank is neutered, heart worm negative, current on shots, rabies shot, and has a registered microchip. Law Enforcement Memorial Plaza 🚓

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office’s 🚓 groundbreaking ceremony took place last week for a new Law Enforcement Memorial Plaza. The plaza is dedicated to honoring deputies who made the ultimate sacrifice. The plaza serves as a place for the community, families and friends, to remember loved one and and to heal.
