Just Another Day in Paradise a.k.a FLORIDA: The South Florida Water Management is using robot rabbits to attract invasive Burmese Pythons. These robot bunnies have heaters to feel warm, motors to move, and even smell like real rabbits. An AI system alerts when a python is nearby. The pythons are causing problems for local animals like raccoons, possums, bobcats, and rabbits.

My Safe Florida Home is offering grant money on a first come first serve basis. Applications are now being accepted. The My Safe Florida Home program allows homeowners to apply for grant money to harden or prepare their home as the peak of hurricane season arrives.

The Florida Legislature has allocated $280 million for the 2025–2026 fiscal year to fund the program; Hurricane Mitigation Inspections and Grants.
