MARDI GRAS ~ Schedule of Events 🎉

Pensacola celebrates Mardi Gras ~ you won’t want to miss these upcoming celebrations! Each year, 100k+ people join in the fun at a Pensacola’s favorite annual event, the Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade. The downtown parade is scheduled for the Saturday before Fat Tuesday which marks the final day of Carnival Season. But prior to the parade and, yes, after the parade, we are honored to celebrate with even more events.

1 Feb @ 7pm — Mardi Gras Night: Ice Flyer vs Rail Yard Dawgs

6 Feb @ 6pm — Tails & Cocktails a one-of-a-kind, dog-friendly mixology class in collaboration with Wolfgang Pensacola benefitting Paw-Di Gras!

8 Feb @ 2pm — Kids and Kritters Parade

15 Feb @ 10am — Pirates of Lost Treasure Flotilla Boat Parade

16 Feb @ 11am Paw-Dis Gras Pirates of Pensacola Bay theme Parade

28 Feb @ 7:30pm — Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Parade

1 Mar @ 2pm — Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade

2 Mar @ 8am — Krewe of Wrecks Parade

4 Mar @ 11am — French Quarter Fat Tuesday Celebration

THE CIRCUS IS COMING! 🎪

Step inside the big top to see The Great Pages Circus puttin’ on a “show stopping, heart pounding family adventure”. The show includes the lovely liberty ponies, horses, and camels 🐪🐴 and was that a dirt bike on the ad flyer? NOW YOU KNOW ✅ The Elephants and Tigers have been retired. I sure hope they received a large pension with endless supplies of peanuts and raw steaks to keep them happy. Heart pounding highlight’s for the event include an aerial performance, juggling and clown acts. Clowns, the ones in costume and not at work, will be juggling! Sunday, 28 Jan, 2pm.

READ with a DOG 📙🐶

Paws-atively unforgettable🐾 opportunity to Read with a dog* at the library, 3pm on Wednesday’s, January 08 - 29, 2025. They say money can buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail. I sure would like to see a fine dog wagging his tail at the library with all those loving kids. Someone, please take a picture and send it our way! @discover.pcola

*Children wishing to practice their reading skills are invited to come and read with a certified therapy and Reading Education Assistance Dog®. All skill levels are welcome. Preregistration is not required. This program is made possible by the canine-handler teams of R.E.A.D. of the Gulf Coast.
