2025 PERDIDO KEY FISHING RODEO 🎣

The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce, Entertainer Bait & Tackle, and Perdido Area Chamber Foundation are hosting a recreational fishing tournament perfect for anglers of skill levels, with three days of exciting inshore and offshore competition. 

• Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each division.

• Fishing opens Friday, July 25 at midnight.

• Weigh-ins take place Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Entertainer Bait & Tackle. 

HABITAT RESTORATION / Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary 

SAVE THE DATE 🗓️: 31 July / 8am-11am

Interested in helping restore important coastal habitats? If so, please sign up for native planting in the lower Perdido Islands. No experience or training required, supplies and transportation to and from the islands provided!

• Volunteers must be 7+ years to participate.

• Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

• Any volunteers that are 17 years old and participating on their own must bring a completed waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

• Registration is required as supplies and transport are limited.

Quarterly opportunities to volunteer include Vertical Oyster Garden (VOG) Volunteer Building Days, as well as the occasional marsh planting for habitat restoration--no prior experience or training required!

VOG Building Program:

Vertical Oyster Gardens (VOGs) are suspended structures built out of recycled oyster shell that you can hang from docks to provide a surface for oysters to grow on. Once oysters start growing on a VOG, they can enhance water filtration, create habitat for other marine life, and reproduce to support our oyster populations across the bay!
