6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER!? Nah, we’ve got the Warm FL ☀️

Punxsutawney Phil, aka the “Phil, the Ground Hog”, predicts six more weeks of winter after not seeing his shadow yesterday morning at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Don’t pack up the snowsuits just yet!

NOW YOU KNOW ✅: Ground Hog Day is actually based off a Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that goes like this:

“if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow, spring will arrive early.”

All that said, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Phil has a 35% overall accuracy rating over 135 years.
