BREEZE AIRWAYS Doubling Down ✈️

Gone away is one airline (you know, the one with a pink flamingo?); here to stay is Breeze Airways. Big news this week with Breeze Airways changing their flight schedules from twice a week to four times a week starting June 5th. Flights will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for travel between Pensacola International and Tampa international airports.

🛴 PENSACOLA’s ELECTIC SCOOTERS

The City of Pensacola has a pretty cool deal with VEO for electric scooters making them readily available for anyone to explore the city by scooter instead of by foot. Skip the parking, the traffic and walking in the FL sun. The electric scooter is much faster and so very easy to access.

Need to Know terms are below:

• The electric scooters can be used on roads and bike lanes within the City of Pensacola franchise area. See map below.

• Riders are prohibited from riding electric scooters on sidewalks, but may access a sidewalk to park the scooter.

• Riders are not allowed to ride on streets identified on the Franchise Area Map as No Ride Zone, which includes:

  • Cervantes Street from Pace Boulevard to N 15^th Street.

  • North 9^th Avenue from Chase Street to E Baars Street.

  • Garden St. from Pace Boulevard to N Alcaniz Street.

  • Barrancas Ave from Pace Boulevard to Garden Street.

Hours of Operation: Electric scooters are not operational and available for use between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m., Friday morning through Sunday morning.

Other Safety Information:

• Riders must be 18 years old and are encouraged to wear a helmet.

• Maximum speed of e-scooters is 15 miles per hour.

• Riders are required to obey all standard rules of the road. This includes riding straight and predictable, obeying traffic lights and stop signs, and yielding to pedestrians. 

• Additional rules may apply. Please refer to the app for more information.
