They’re here! Pensacola welcomes the GL52’s yachts and team members racing this week on the Pensacola Bay for the 2025 Pensacola Cup. This is a two part series; 6 yachts with 12 crew members competing Mar 20th and again April 10th. The yacht, American Magic, has made Pensacola its home! Take a look at the teams.

Here’s the schedule in case you can squeeze out some time to witness these amazing boats in action.

Wednesday

• 10-10:45am GL52 Fleet Morning Briefing @ Jaco’s

• 1pm First Warning – First practice Start. It is the RC’s intention to run 2 practice starts followed by a 2-leg practice race And repeat this sequence

• 6-7:30pm Mayor’s Reception- Welcoming GL52 Owners & Teams to Pensacola. Drinks / Heavy Hors d’oeuvres @ 511 S. Palafox St. Dress code: Showered – team gear preferred – not necessary

Thursday

• 9:30-10:15am GL52 Morning Fleet briefing/ debrief @ Jaco’s

• 12 noon First Warning – Race 1

• 4:30-5:30 Wine on the Water Festival Reception – inviting GL52 teams @ cul-de-sac behind Jaco’s Drinks & Appetizers Dress code: Straight off the boat

Friday

• 9:30-10:15am GL52 Morning Fleet briefing / debrief @ Jaco’s

• 12 noon First Warning – Race 1

• Post Race Possibly: Beer + @ tent next to Jaco’s

Saturday

• 9:30-10:15am GL52 Morning Fleet briefing / debrief @ Jaco’s

• 12noon First Warning – Race 1

• Post Race Possibly: Beer + @ tent next to Jaco’s

Sunday

• 9:30-10:15am GL52 Morning Fleet briefing / debrief @ Jaco’s

This is an inaugural Event! The Wine on the Water- Food & Wine Festival, is presented by Sandy Sansing Dealerships and Florida Insurance Agency. Enjoy an afternoon of exquisite flavors and activities set against the breathtaking beauty of Pensacola Bay. Plus, the opportunity to enjoy the live GL52 sailing teams race in Pensacola Bay and a competitive tournament of croquet happening on the Wahoos field. Proceeds will benefit the Sacred Heart Foundation, supporting their vital work in advancing healthcare and transforming lives locally here in our P’COLA community.
