Palafox Beautification is complete!

The massive $10.7 million "New Palafox Project" infrastructure and beautification construction is complete! Pedestrians were welcomed back onto the new sidewalks, and vehicular traffic officially reopened right in time for summer!

New Look for PPD: 

Mayor D.C. Reeves announced a new look for the Pensacola Police Department vehicles. They are rolling out a new single-color silver Ford Explorer platform, which is expected to save taxpayers about $9,000 per vehicle compared to the traditional black-and-white painted vehicles.

• UWF Bike Trails 20+ miles of single-track and multi-use trails weaving through North Pensacola’s dense woods, it’s the best place to find some elevation changes.

• Pensacola Beach Eco-Trail Bike: Rent a cruiser or bring your road bike and pedal along the paved Pensacola Beach trail extending down via Via De Luna Drive.

• FT PICKENS HIKING; Florida National Scenic Trail The Gulf Islands National Seashore offers the only beach-dune hike on a designated National Trail. Florida Trail Association.

• UWF HIKING Main Campus 20+ miles of trails for all skill levels (Nature Trail & West Campus). Best accessed from the Pate Street Trailhead (11969 Pate St.). It’s free to park there, and you can pick up the trail right from the lot.

• If you're lookin' for a casual game of soccer or pickleball, the Vickrey Resource Center and Bayview Park usually have folks out playin' pickup games most weekday evenings when the weather is this nice.
