It’s Monday the 12th, National Nutty Fudge Day 🟫 and we’ve got just the spot (or 3) to find locally made fudge + an easy recipe to try at home. Calling all adults! Time to register for KICKBALL SUMMER 2025 ☄️ and SOFTBALL SUMMER 2025🥎 leagues. FLORIDA HEALTHY BEACHES PROGRAM provides us with an easy tool to check for potential bacteria in the waters at your favorite local beach hangout.

FLORIDA HEALTHY BEACHES PROGRAM 🏝️

Ever wonder about the bacteria that may share the waters with us at our local beaches? Check out the FLORIDA HEALTHY BEACHES PROGRAM.

The FL Department of Health routinely monitors the local water ways along the coast for bacteria. Before your next trip, Beach, Bay or Bayou, you might consider exploring the results on their website. The Florida Department of Health works to protect, promote, and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts.

NATIONAL NUTTY FUDGE DAY 🟫

Today is NATIONAL NUTTY FUDGE DAY! Here are a few local spots to explore the best locally made fudge in P’COLA:

ANYONE UP FOR MAKING FUDGE AT HOME? 🟫 Here’s a 3 Ingredient, 4 Step, simple to try recipe; yields 36 pieces:

▢ 3 cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

▢ 1 (14-ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk

▢ 2 Tablespoons Butter

🟫Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.

🟫 Add chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to a large saucepan stir over medium heat fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

 🟫 Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Spread evenly.

 🟫 Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until fully chilled and the fudge is firm. Cut and serve!

Next time add in the goodness to make your favorite flavor!

• Cookies & Cream: Swap the semi-sweet chocolate chips for white chocolate chips + 1 cup of chopped Oreos.

• Cranberry Pistachio: Use either semi-sweet or white chocolate chips + 1/2 cup of sweetened dried cranberries + 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios.

• Mint Chocolate: Use either semi-sweet or white chocolate chips + 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract.

• Rocky Road: + 1/2 cup chopped walnuts to the melted fudge mixture, then very gently stir in 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows. 

• Peppermint Chocolate: + crushed peppermint candies or candy canes.
