The Emerald Coast Open (ECO) is known as the largest lionfish tournament in the world! In 2024, ECO’s 147 participants removed 11,844 lionfish from our local waters,

ECO winnings totaled $65,000 in cash prizes and more than $60,000 in other prizes. The upcoming competition should be exciting - 2025 tournament!

The Emerald Coast Open Restaurant Week begins Friday! Hosted by Destin-Fort Walton Beach from Friday the 9th until the 17th, this event lis precursor to the Emerald Coast Open Lionfish Tournament May 16-17.

Restaurant week provides local restaurants to create a lionfish special dish while educating their customers about the impact of this invasive species. Find the restaurants serving LIONFISH here!☀️
