NATIONAL ADOPT A SHELTER PET DAY 🐶 🐈‍⬛

TODAY! This day is the BIG DAY! Celebrated annually to raise awareness about the millions of animals waiting in shelters, these guys need to find their Forever Homes -Please consider adoption 🤎

7 US PET ADOPTION STATS

1. Almost the same number of pets were euthanized in animal shelters, as were returned to their owners as lost and found; over 650,000.

2. Most pets are surrendered for adoption due to no fault of their own.

3. Black cats are less likely to be adopted than other cats.

4. Almost 52% of all cats that are adopted are kittens.

5. There are approximately 10,000 puppy mills in the U.S. where mother dogs spend the majority of their lives cramped in small cages.

6. More dogs are purchased from breeders than are adopted.

7. More cats are adopted than purchased from breeders.

"Empty the Shelters" May 1 - May 15, BISSELL Pet Foundation will be sponsoring $20.00 for every adopted dog and $10 for every adopted cat!

PENSACOLA PUPS FOR ADOPTION 🐾

Meet ARNIE🐾 a 5yr old Friend and LONG-TIMER in RESCUE. He really needs a Forever Home. He does take some time to warm up but once he relaxes, he’ll show you just how LOVING and LOYAL he can be. Arnie🐾 gets along well with other dogs, even the small ones.
